Sustainable Village - Jimling

Sustainable Development Programs

Sustainable Development Programs are designed to uplift economic status and engagement of indigenous people by building sustainable villages.

Through social entrepreneurship and startups, business incubation and direct community towards sustainability, helping them live a dignified living independent from others in society. This economic growth will allow our target communities to have improved access to education, health, nutrition, and the national economy.

Education and Training

The “One Chepang Child Sponsorship” initiative is dedicated to supporting the education and well-being of children from the Chepang community, an indigenous group in Nepal facing significant socio-economic challenges. This program seeks to provide these children with access to quality education, essential supplies, and opportunities for personal development, aiming to break the cycle of poverty and marginalization that has long affected the Chepang people.

Through sponsorship, individuals can directly contribute to a child’s educational journey, covering expenses such as school fees, uniforms, books, and daily meals. By investing in the education of Chepang children, sponsors play a crucial role in empowering them to achieve their full potential and fostering positive change within their communities.

Subsistence Enterprises

IIAD identifies and supports local villagers from Jimling to establish their enterprises and to create subsistence marketplace through social entrepreneurship and startups, business incubation and direct community towards sustainability, helping them live a dignified living independent from others in society. This economic growth will allow our target communities to have improved access to education, health, nutrition, and the national economy.

IIAD is committed to fostering sustainable enterprises that empower indigenous communities, particularly the Chepang people of Nepal. By integrating traditional knowledge with modern sustainable practices, IIAD aims to create economic opportunities that respect cultural heritage and promote environmental stewardship.
